Dominica 2025 Energy Storage Project
Scheduled for completion in the second half of 2025, the facility, located in Laudat, a valley surrounding the capital, will harness the country’s volcanic potential, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and provide clean and stable energy to approximately 23,000 homes, confirmed the Dominica Geothermal Development Company, a public-private partnership carrying out the project. Myanmar Smart Solar System
Drawing in part on lessons learned from its sister organization in India, Smart Power Myanmar (SPM) is now working with the Alliance and USAID-funded private sector partners to bring off-grid solar power to rural enterprises that can immediately use electricity to expand output, improve quality, create/sustain jobs, and reduce reliance on polluting diesel generation.
